Rowena J. Milliken

Rowena J. Milliken went to the Lord February 16, 2020. She was born June 22, 1924, in Corning Iowa, to Arthur and Grace Lundquist. Rowena married John J. Milliken, in 1942. Together they lived in many places across the United States, while John served in the Air Force. In 1960, they settled in Arkansas, with their five children. Rowena worked as a laboratory technician for many years at both UAMS and the VA Hospitals. She retired and lived a life full of family and love. Rowena is preceded in death by her husband John, son Stephen and her daughter Jan. She is survived by her sisters Arleta and Velva, son, Tim (Leslie) Milliken, daughter-in-law, Ann Milliken, daughters, Sarah (Stephen) Linder, and Tracy Ferguson. Her grandchildren, Kim, John (Melissa), James, Sean (Meredith), Ashley, Graham (Jill), Andrew (Victoriana), Hayley (Joey), Brennan and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 20th at 2 p.m. at Forrest Hills Cemetery,Alexander, Ark. The Reverend Sandra Curtis will officiate. A reception will follow.
