Viola Peebles

Viola Peebles, 104, of Newport departed this life Wednesday, January 1, 2020. She was born August 13, 1915 to Sam and Ida (O'Neal) Hale. Mrs. Peebles was a member of Airbase Church of Christ and she loved caring for others. She was preceded in death by her husband; Richard Peebles, parents, four brothers; four sisters; and son-in-law; Clovis Jones. Her survivors are sons; Stan Peebles and wife Linda of North Little Rock, and Sam Peebles of Texas, daughter; Ival Jones of Bruno, seven grandchildren; Angie Wedlick (Jason), Paula Laird (Jerry), Susan Koone (Kevin), Clovis Lee Jones, Arliss Jones, Marsha Tokvan (Jeff), and Patricia Still (Larry), 19 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and four great-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at Dillinger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
