Virginia Sue Breashears

Virginia Sue Breashears passed away peacefully in her home in Searcy, Arkansas on June 1, 2020. Sue was born March 14, 1938 in Perry, Arkansas. Her parents were the late Virgil Arnold Pearson and Ineth Thera Young Pearson. She had several careers during her productive life. These included working for the Pine Bluff school system, real estate sales and also restoring and repurposing antique furniture. She especially enjoyed making a home for her family including her late husband Joe Breashears. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Searcy and enjoyed the Murray Sunday School Class where she and Joe made many friends. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Gibbs and husband Bill (Searcy); her son Mark Breashears and wife Jo-Lynn (Monument, Co.); brother Russell Pearson; sister, Laura Pearson Story; and her 6 grandchildren: Hunter, Tanner, Will and Connor Gibbs and Meagan and Taylor Breashears. She is preceded in death by a brother, Ray Pearson and a sister, Nancy Jean Pearson. Her daughter gives a special thanks to the Friday Night Supper Club group who took such great care of her mother: Marge Miller, Marge Pierce, Sammie Byford, Carol Norman, Dodie Gillham, Odell Hubach, and Virginia Wright. In view of the current Covid-19 circumstances, no funeral is planned. A private memorial service for the family will take place later in the summer.
