Michael "Mike" Noble Coffman

MICHALE "MIKE" NOBLE COFFMAN was born March 20, 1942 in Memphis, Tenn., and went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2020. Mike was a man who loved to serve others, whether it was his community, church, or family. Mike was a decorated law enforcement officer, retiring in 2015 after 45 years of service in Central Arkansas. He was a well-respected member of the law enforcement community and made a positive impact on each person he encountered. Mike was a faithful and devoted member of First Pentecostal Church for 32 years, serving on the security team. He enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found in the deer woods or with a fishing rod in his hand. Mike was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Though a man of few words, his loving spirit, kindness, and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Margaret Coffman; three children: Helen Marie, Lawson, & Mark; two sisters, Loyce Coffman, Sue Johnson; six brothers: Boyce Coffman, Fayburn Coffman, Hershel Coffman, Albert Coffman, Herman Coffman, and Jackie Coffman; and one grandchild, Candice Olivia Coffman. Mike is survived by his wife Laverne; three sons: Avery (Kim), Joshua (Sheila), and Michael Jr. (Lauren); and seven grandchildren: Kaylee Bethea, Kaleb, Brittany Manuel, Beth Webb, Jessica, Colby, and Ashton. He is also survived by two brothers: Clyde Coffman and Dempsie Coffman; and four sisters: Carol Addie, Cathy Smith, Venessa Ford, and Sylvia Pate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2020 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke, AR. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock, Ark. Bishop J. N. Holmes will officiate.
