Mary Jeanette Vallun, 80, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, at her home. She was born December 15, 1939, in DeWitt, Ark. She was a custodian and substitute teacher at Watson Chapel Schools. She loved sewing and going to auctions. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto William Johnson, Sr., and Thelma Marie Phillips Johnson; husband, James William Vallun; a brother, Otto William Johnson, Jr.; and a sister, Loyce Rice. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Rickey Vallun and James Craig Vallun; two daughters, Debbie Strawn and Sheila Kay Small; a sister, Mary Tidwell; 10 grandchildren, Christina Hamilton, Tricia Cothran, Rickey Vallun, Jr., Christopher Vallun, Stephen Worthen, Dustin Small, Michael Vallun, William Vallun, Robert Flower, and Richard Miller; 18 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. The family will host a celebration of her life at the home of Craig Vallun, 100 Sunset Lane., Rison, Ark., at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 29.
