Mary Anne Nilles, 95, of Little Rock, passed away on October, 18, 2020. Mary Anne was born in Little Rock and attended Little Rock Public Schools. She graduated from Little Rock High School in 1943. She attended Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga., for two years and graduated from Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois, in 1947. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Mary Anne was a member of the board of the YWCA of Little Rock. She served as a volunteer at the Arkansas Arts Center and the American Red Cross. She was active in the formation of the Children's Panhellenic Library, the forerunner of Little Rock's first branch library, where she served as a volunteer. She served in many capacities in the PTA and scouting in Little Rock during her children's school years. Mary Anne was an avid Bridge player, belonging to the same bridge club for over 50 years. Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Charlotte Gaunt and her husband of 59 years, Donald. She is survived by children Edward (Gerre), David and Carol. Grandchildren are Andrew Birmingham and Matt Nilles. She was blessed with four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A family service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church or a charity of choice.
