Harriet G. Keck

Harriet G. Keck, 90, of Gentry died September 6, 2020, in her home of 50 years. She was born in Lincoln, Neb., on November 13, 1929, to William Wallace Aldrich and Gertrude H. Nelson Aldrich. Harriet was 10 years old when she moved to Benton County to a farm on Vaughn Road. Affectionately called "Blondie", she graduated from Vaughn High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, and a member of Vaughn Presbyterian Church. An excellent seamstress, she was an avid bowler for several years and loved playing cards with her friends. Upon relocating back to Benton County in 1970 after her husband retired from the Army, they gardened together and raised cattle on their farm. Harriet survived her husband, Thomas R. Keck, who died in 2008. They were married in Clayton, N.M., on November 25, 1946. Her survivors include three daughters, Karen R. Keck of Collinsville, Okla.; Wanda Keck Hammett of Rayville, La.; and Sheliah Keck Webb of Gravette, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; and a host of friends and acquaintances. Due to COVID-19 no visitation or services will be held. A small family gathering is planned to celebrate her long and productive life. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home 306 N. 4th St. Rogers, Ark. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
