Rita Mae McCaskill Robertson passed away September 7, 2020 in Little Rock, Ark. She was born July 22, 1932, in Prescott, Ark., to August McCaskill and Thelma Hubbard McCaskill. Rita graduated at the top of her class at Prescott High School, attended Southwestern (Rhodes) College, the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Rita was a long-time resident of Little Rock and was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity, Departmental Club, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Presbyterian Village Auxiliary, Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church and Second Presbyterian Church. She served as an officer and committee member for many organizations, including being a deacon and elder in her churches. She was extremely involved in her children's schools and activities, was an avid Razorbacks supporter, did extensive genealogy research and enjoyed traveling. She loved reading and participated in several book clubs. She was a talented painter, seamstress and knitter, and donated countless baby hats and prayer shawls over the years. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Susan Stovall, and her husband of 59 years, Robert (Bob) Robertson. She is survived by a son, Robert Robertson (Beverly) of Shreveport, La.; a daughter, Carol Whitaker (S. Bryan) of Morgantown, W.Va.; grandchildren, Amanda Boldenow (Brandon), Taylor Robertson (Kristina), Lauralee Adams (Matt), Emily Zantow (Aric), Madeline Whitaker, and Amelia Whitaker; and 5 great-grandchildren. A family gathering will be held in the Prayer Garden of Second Presbyterian Church, with a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date. Memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, Little Rock, Ark., or Presbyterian Village, Little Rock, Ark.
