David Franklin Frazier Sr., 77, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Sunday, April 18 2021. He was born on Friday, March 17, 1944, in St. Louis, Mo., during WWII. David shared his day of birth with the sinking of the German U-boat, U-801, the explosion of Mount Vesuvius in Italy, with St. Patrick's Day and with his 2-year-old sister, Brenda Young. His parents, Aline and Jess Frazier moved the family to Little Rock, Arkansas, where David eventually attended Hall High School lettering in track and field as well as football. David held the record for the 50-yard dash for several years. The family considered Immanuel Baptist Church their home. David Frazier Sr. was a successful clothing retailer strategic marketer of "John's Jeans" in Little Rock, Louisiana, and in Texas. Johns Jeans opened in 1969 and had 22 stores. It was the first specialty store in the USA, only selling jeans and shirts. Under David Frazier's marketing leadership, John's Jeans won three Addy awards for advertising. In the 80's, David was named vice president of Smith, Weathersby and Associates Advertising. Later in his career, Jones Toyota in Little Rock hired David as Marketing Director where he finished out his years. David Frazier Sr. proudly served the state of Arkansas as an elected Justice of the Peace performing many marriage ceremonies at the Old Mill in North Little Rock, on airplanes at the airport, on hot air balloons, and at many parks around the area. He served at the Optimist Club of Greater Little Rock and helped raise funds for many charitable organizations. David is survived by Brenda Young (his sister), Tiffany Warmouth (his daughter), David Frazier Jr. (his son), Matthew Frazier and Andrew Frazier (his two grandsons). "Daddy David" passed along a great sense of humor, an enthusiastic personality and his joy in helping others. He is best known for "never knowing a stranger" and enjoying life as it came. His memorial will be a private family service due to COVID-19. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Colonel Glenn Health & Rehab Facility who graciously made his end of life comfortable. May he find happiness with our Heavenly Father and continue to root for the Arkansas Razorbacks from above.
