Randy Morton Rankin

Randy Morton Rankin, 69, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on August 28, 2021. He was born on February 27, 1952, in Russellville, Ark., to the late Carl and Lorene Rankin. Randy farmed for 33 years on the family farm. He was very involved in Eudora Baptist Church, especially in the music ministry. He was also active in Chicot Country Farm Bureau serving on its board of directors for 23 years, serving as president for 10 years. Randy was a Justice of Peace on the Chicot County Quorum Court. He was a 32nd-degree Mason. He also served on the State Farm Bureau Board Soybean Committee. He was one of the founders of the Delta Men's Association and the Wild Game Supper. Randy served as a state representative for the 12th District of Arkansas (2001-2006), and was the coordinator for the detention facilities under Governor Mike Beebe. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Wylie Clifford Rankin. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Rankin; daughter, Ashley (James) Arledge; son, Morton (Emily) Rankin; sisters, Phyllis Craft, Myra (David) Saunders and Lana Parker; brother, Curt (Valerie) Rankin; grandchildren, Hayden and Reid; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Ark. Memorials may be made in Randy's memory to Eudora Baptist Church.
