Linnie Lou Beck

On November, 28, 2021, Linnie Lou Beck (Vaughn) "OMa", 68, of Springdale, Ark., finally went to sleep peacefully. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Beck. She is survived by one son, Tony (Spencer) Lockwood; one daughter, Shana (Brad) Bookout; five grandchildren; and a peacock named Blue. Linnie spent 21 years "pulling green chain" at Boise Cascade, a logging mill in Oregon. Linnie and Joe moved to Arkansas in 1992, where they began JoBec Transport. In 2000, they received recognition for "successful delivery of the Arkansas Governor's Mansion". Soon after, she became a homemaker. Although she never cooked or cleaned, she was able to delegate like nobody's business. She was as stubborn as a mule and mean as a hornet. She often said, "I've lived enough life for two lifetimes and I don't regret a damn thing." When Joe passed in 2014, her kids made bets on her survival rate. She outlived all bets just to spite them and save herself a dime. Linnie began hospice care in 2020 and moved into her son's home. She enjoyed watching Ridiculousness, the ID channel, and partaking in after-school snacks with her grandchildren. She loved Pepsi and cigarettes. These Tex Williams lyrics would often escape her: "Smoke, smoke, smoke that cigarette Puff, puff, puff and if you smoke yourself to death Tell St. Peter at the Golden Gate That you hate to make him wait, You've gotta have another cigarette" She passed away peacefully at Circle of Life Hospice with family by her side. In lieu of services, the family requests that you send all donations, flowers or snacks addressed to the staff of Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road in Springdale, AR 72762. They deserve it, she took them on one heck of a ride! Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers.
