Jerry Brockinton, 76, of Sherwood passed away December 29, 2021. He was born March 17, 1945, in Conway, Ark., to Wilbur Dennis Brockinton and Margie Vernice Henderson Brockinton. He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School class of 1963, and attended Henderson State University. He was active in his faith and attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Jerry was never hesitant about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to everyone he met. He loved antique cars and his German Shepherds. He was the proud owner of Jerry Brockinton Used Cars in North Little Rock for over 50 years. He was friends with just about everyone, but if you were special to him, you received a fruit basket or an antique car calendar at Christmas and possibly his famous happy birthday song. He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Harding, Heather Volpert (Chris), Brittany Kimbrell (Jeremy); sister, Shirley Head (Rick); honorary brother, Steve Brockinton (Gina); grandchildren, Tayler Harding, Alyssa Harding, Peytan Harding, Teygue Harding, Kaydin Harding, Brody Volpert, Mason Volpert, David Kimbrell, and Aubrey Kimbrell; and the Open Door Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church; and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dennis Dale Brockinton; and grandson, Deygen Lake Harding. Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, from 9:30-11 a.m., with funeral services following at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.
