Doyle Lee Kittler

Doyle Lee Kittler, age 80, of Pine Bluff, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021. Born December 19, 1940, at Almyra, Ark., he was a son of the late Walter William "Bill" Kittler and Geneva Henderson Kittler. He was reared and educated in DeWitt and Dumas, and graduated from Dumas High School. Following graduation, he moved to Pine Bluff and went to work for Varco Metal Building Company, where he was a foreman. Seventeen years later, Varco decided to design and fabricate the buildings, but not erect them. Doyle then acquired their building equipment and hired their crews. He and his wife founded D and J Steel, which also sold Varco-Pruden buildings as well as erecting them. He was also predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Judy Welch Kittler; a son, Kenneth Kittler; a grandson, Kenneth Drew Williams; and a brother, Jim Kittler. Survivors include his children, Kyle Kittler (Amber) and Kim Kittler Glover (Brad); a brother, Billy Kittler; a sister, Hellen Kennedy; and five grandchildren. There will be a visitation Thursday, February 4, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel. All Covid-19 guidelines will be followed, including masks and social distancing.
