Mary Diane Nolen, age 71, of Fayetteville peacefully entered the presence of Jesus on the morning of February 11, 2021, at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville, Ark. After growing up in Stuttgart, Ark., and graduating from Stuttgart High School, Diane made her way to Little Rock, where she married Garth Nolen. In her early 20's, Diane had a faith awakening as she understood the good news and grace of Jesus in her life. She lived in awe of this truth in both good and difficult times. As a mother, she was sacrificial and intentional in helping Shelley and Clark see the love of Jesus. She always went to great lengths in making them feel cared for. After having her children, she became an administrative assistant at the Little Rock Orthopedic Clinic where she thrived in this environment. Diane was a faithful mother and wife. She loved to laugh and bring joy to the room. Even after their divorce, Diane maintained a rich friendship with her former husband, Garth, for over 30 years. Along with the family, she leaves behind some very dear friends who cared for and served her well. She will be loved and missed by many. She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Reitz of North Little Rock, Ark., her son, Clark Nolen and his wife Pam of Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Bill Snodgrass and his wife Danna of Zachary, La.; brother-in-law, Billy Elam of Stuttgart, Ark.; six grandchildren, Austin Reitz, Nate Nolen, Wesley Reitz, Jacob Nolen, Dakota Nolen, Andrew Nolen and her niece, Rachel McKinnis. A private family memorial with be held at a later date at Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Hope for Depression Research Foundation www.hopefordepression.org.
