Jennifer Lea Melton, age 51, of Perryville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 14, 2021, in Little Rock, Ark., after a courageous battle with COVID-19. Jennifer was born in Little Rock, Ark., on April 10, 1969, to Ronnie Charles Magie and Frances Ann Magie of Perryville. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She married Patrick Jay Melton in 1991, and she was blessed with her most precious gift in 2002, triplet boys; Jeb, Cole, and Kantin Melton. She was a faithful member of the Oppelo First Baptist Church, and she carried that faith into every part of her life. Jennifer was a caring, loving nurse that thrived in home health. She spent over 20 years at Approved Home Health and made a difference in the lives of so many of her patients and coworkers. Jennifer also was an owner of Pizza Ranch in Conway, Ark. Jennifer's smile and ease at conversation made her a friend to many. She had a personality that was contagious and had a way of making each person she spoke to feel special. She was a trustworthy, loyal friend that could always make people laugh and brighten their day. Jennifer loved sports. She could often be found (and heard) cheering on her boys at whatever they were doing, from horseshows, to the basketball court, to the baseball diamond. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, reading her Bible, and drinking coffee on the porch with her husband most mornings. Her family was her treasure, and she was the most amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt! Her family and friends will forever miss her, but each of our lives are so much brighter for knowing and loving her! Jennifer is survived by her husband of 29 years, Patrick Melton; and three sons, Jeb, Cole, and Kantin Melton; parents, Ronnie and Frances Magie; brother, Jeff (Ellen) Magie; father and mother in-law, Gene and Peggy Melton. She is also survived by two nieces, Magen (Jason) Lankford and Natalie Magie, and two nephews Justin (Whitney) Melton and Cody (Wendy) Melton. Jennifer is preceded in death by her sister, Sallye Ann Magie, and her grandparents. Services for Jennifer will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 2 p.m., at the Perryville High School gymnasium. A graveside service will immediately follow at Wolf Cemetery in Oppelo. The service will be officiated by Brother Brad Underwood and Brother Gene Tanner. Pallbearers for the service are Philip Bean, Troy Denn, Cliff Jones, Eric Blaylock, Michael Robinson, and Brad Tubbs. Arrangements made by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Jennifer Melton Scholarship fund at Farmer and Merchants Bank in Perryville. The family would also like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and doctors at Conway Regional Medical Center and the CVICU at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world." John 16:33
