Susan Younkin

Susan Lee Younkin, age 74, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021. She was born July 12, 1946 in Harlingen, Texas to Robert and Bessie Willingham Younkin. She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Newman. Susan was a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville and sang in the choir. She loved singing at church and was a former member of Schola Cantorum while attending the University of Arkansas. She was a registered nurse and homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Reid Newman and wife Leslie of Powell, Ohio, Brent Newman and his wife Brooke of Bryant, Ark.,; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Dakota, Dalton Newman, Taylor Moorison Newman, Zack Keyes and Caitlyn Keyes; one great granddaughter Jeslyn Moorison Newman; brother, Ron Younkin of Fayetteville and several cousins. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2021 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at Moore's Chapel with a burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
