Gary Roland Blackburn

Gary Roland Blackburn, age 70, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 21, 2021. Gary was born on September 24, 1950, in Jefferson, Iowa, to Darrell and Marjorie Blackburn. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jim Blackburn, Jerry Blackburn and Larry Blackburn. Gary is survived by his wife Ramona of Springdale, and three children, Matt Blackburn (Kim) of Elm Springs, Nichole Chambless (Jeff) of Elm Springs, Ashley Marcum (Scotty) of Bentonville, and five grandchildren: Josh, Grace, Kale, Kase and Andreah. He is also survived by his siblings, Nick Blackburn (Debra) of Jefferson, Iowa; Sandy Baugh (Bob) of Jefferson, Iowa; Mark Blackburn (Pam) of Sanford, N.C.; and Mary Hill of Auroa, Colo. Gary was a Navy Veteran serving two tours in the Vietnam War as a Marine Mechanic. He went on to hold maintenance positions with a couple of different companies. Most recently Gary worked at Dow Building Services where he was a friend to all. Gary did not know a stranger and would lend a hand to anyone. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. A memorial service will be held at Backstrom Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 5:45 p.m.
