Betty Lee Brents Wade, age 82, of Morrilton, Ark., passed away peacefully in her home Friday, January 1, 2021. She was born November 24, 1938, in Cleveland, Ark., a daughter to the late Lee Brents and Lucille Halbrook Brents. In 1955, she graduated from Scotland High at the age of 16 and went on to become a medical lab tech where she worked for several doctors including Dr. Buchanon for 35 years. She was a caretaker by heart to everyone she met. Betty married the love of her life James "Jim" Wade, on May 24, 1958, and was married for 62 years until she was widowed in October 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and was best known as "Mema". She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Morrilton, Ark. She is survived by her two daughters, Jamie Coleman of New Mexico, and Terri Bounds (Walter) of Morrilton; brother, William "Bobby" (Fran) Brents of Morrilton; sister, Glenna (Frank) Brown of Waldo; five grandchildren, Christopher (Kelly Jo) Ivone, Nicholas (Sarah) Ivone, Will (Tamera) Coleman, Casey Bounds, Weston Bounds; two great grandchildren, Tanner Bounds and Charlotte Ivone; and many loved ones. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 9, at Elmwood Cemetery with Father Joseph Friend officiating. Pallbearers will be Christopher Ivone, Nicholas Ivone, Will Coleman, Casey Bounds, Weston Bounds, Tanner Bounds. Family requests memorials to be made at Sacred Heart Catholic Capital Fund.
