William Allen Homra II

William Allen Homra II, age 57, passed away on January 3, 2021, at Jefferson Regional Hospital in Pine Bluff, Ark. Allen was born on November 16, 1963, in Union City, Tennessee. Family was everything and then some to Allen. From a young age, Allen's father influenced his business habits, talent as a salesmen and sportsmanship. Allen cherished many hunting trips with his Dad and the family dog, Rocky. Allen arrived in Stuttgart, Arkansas, shortly after graduating from the University of Mississippi on a temporary assignment with Edward Jones in 1988, and stayed for 32 years. Over the years Allen built one of the top ten financial consulting practices out of the 18,000+ brokers at Edward Jones. Allen was recently named to the Barron's Top 1200 Financial Advisors and was listed #1 in the state of Arkansas for the 4th year in a row. Allen was devoted to his clients and invested in them to make sure they had financial success. In September 2020, Arkansas Money and Politics placed him in the Top 25 "Best Financial Advisors" state ranking. He has been a Top Edward Jones producer for 27 consecutive years; an Edward Jones Limited Partner since 1991; and a Top 25 Jones Financial Consultant since 2012. Consistently in his success, Allen always humbly gave all credit to his team of talented support staff: DeAnne, Cindy, Carol and Stacy with collective working tenure of 71 years. This team was his family and he was always forever grateful for the care they provided to his hundreds of clients. Despite not growing up in the state, Allen became a passionate Arkansan, incredibly dedicated to the University of Arkansas where his daughter Madison is a senior. Allen flourished in his community that was so important to him. In 2000 Allen joined the Stuttgart First United Methodist Church. Over the years his involvement grew as he used his heart and hands to create a place where anyone could come to feel God's love. Besides being a significant supporter of the Church, Allen served as Chair of the Administrative Council, Chair of the Staff Parish Committee, Chair of the Stewardship Committee and Chair of the Finance Committee. Allen quickly immersed himself in his community, doing everything in his power to help his town thrive. He was a dedicated member of the Stuttgart Rotary Club, serving as President in 1997 and was a Paul Harris Fellow III. He was also honored as President of the year in the Rotary District #6150 in 1998. Allen was a passionate Easter Seals volunteer helping raise $400,000 to start the Easter Seals program in Stuttgart that provides physical and operational therapy for children. Allen never missed an opportunity to cheer on the mighty Ricebird football team and was actively involved in the Stuttgart Booster Club. He was a passionate duck hunter and a Ducks Unlimited Sponsor for 25 years. He was a member of the Stuttgart Country Club where also served on the Country Club Board. In addition, Allen served on the Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas Foundation Board. In 2004, Allen was honored as Citizen of the Year by the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. Allen also started and supported programs like "Let's Paint Stuttgart", where he led a group of local citizens as they re-painted 47 buildings in Stuttgart since 2011. Every fiber of Allen's being believed in Stuttgart, and the people who live and work there. Allen captured every moment, big and small, so much so that he created a Snapchat streak lasting 1,038 days with his daughter, Madison. He always had a contagious smile on his face, showed his love for God daily, helped his community in any way he could, always had a witty comeback, possessed a huge, giving heart, was the best Dad in the universe to the best daughter, and cooked amazing five-star meals often on his smoker. Allen truly valued and lived life to the fullest and in the simplest of ways. He never had a staggering leaf in his yard and his mental and physical strength were unmatched. Allen Homra was the change we wish to see in the world and those who knew him are better because of the incomparable impact he created. An in person service will be limited to family, with a celebration of life planned at a future date. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Stacey Homra; and his son, William Allen (Trey) Homra III. He is survived by his daughter, Madison Homra of Stuttgart; his two sisters, Dee (Zac) Isaac of Toledo, Ohio; Lisa Sears of Fulton, Kentucky; his parents, William and Joan Homra of Fulton, Kentucky; special friend, Shelly Clifton, and a host of nieces and nephews along with beloved family, neighbors and friends. A special thank you to other beloved family and friends, as well as the dedicated nurses and staff who took care of Allen during his battle with COVID.
