Novyle Jean Pounders Grimes

Novyle Jean Pounders Grimes, age 84, of McGehee, Ark., passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. Novyle was born December 21, 1936 in McGehee, Ark., to the late D.E. & Consula Pounders. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank Grimes, Jr. & sister, Twyla Williams Hargis. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Grimes Bragg of Monroe, La.; son, Frank Grimes, III of Monroe, La.; grandson, Brandon Craven of Monroe, La., and granddaughters, Amber Grimes Huffman (David) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Aimee Grimes of Dallas, Texas along with many other loved family & friends. Novyle worked in the office for the Ross Van Ness School District for many years. After returning to McGehee in 1990, she worked for the McGehee School District until retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family & was so proud of her grandkids. She was a member of the McGehee Church of Christ. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at McGehee Cemetery officiated by Bro. Rickey Eppes. Arrangements by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, Ark.
