David C Smith

David C. Smith, aged 58, passed away on the morning of January 14, 2021, due to complications from COVID. David was born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Allan Ewing and Margaret Smith. David is preceded in death by both of his parents. David graduated from high school in Valencia, Calif., and then almost immediately joined the U.S. Marine Corps. David attended University of San Francisco and then St. Gregory The Great Old Catholic Seminary wherein he earned a Master's Degree in Divinity and then a Doctorate in Theology. David served churches as priest and then later bishop in California before coming to Arkansas in 1996 to support the church community here. Along with his church duties, David spent about a decade working for the Law Firm of Joseph Paul Smith, PA, in Fayetteville where he is sorely missed by his friends and co-workers there.
