Henry Mae Crosby-McCombs was born February 02, 1935, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Edmonia Robinson Butler and Henry Lee Crosby. She departed this life on January 17, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. in Grandview, Mo. She confessed a hope in Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended school in Pine Bluff. She was a member of Wheeler Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hooker, Ark., under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Pratt. She was employed at Ben Pearson and Modern Cleaners for several years before seeking employment at Central Maloney. She retired after 35 years of employment with Central Maloney. Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Elizabeth Harris; three brothers, Nathaniel (Duke) Walker, Henry Lee Crosby, and Andrew (Andy) Smith; six children, Varris Kaye Crosby, Everlenia Jackson, Robert Lewis McCombs, Urais McCombs Jr., James William McCombs, and Sandra Crosby. Her memory will be cherished by four daughters, Barbara Ford Rhodes, Wanda (Tina) Massie, Mae Katherine Chatman, Debera Creggett; one son, Larry McDonald of Little Rock; and one sister, Annie Mae Nelson. Her legacy of a loving spirit will be cherished by 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones. A walk-through visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Christian Way Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, January 30, at noon at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in the Hooker community.
