Fay Helen Mason, 100, passed away peacefully at home on Jan 22, 2021, with her family by her side. Fay was born to George and Leora Hedrick on May 11, 1920, in rural Rogers, Ark. She moved to Stockton, Calif., with her three daughters in 1947 and lived there for 50 years before moving to Sutter, Calif., in 1997. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and embroidering. In her later years she spent much of her time reading. She is survived by her daughters Jane Matulich (Larry) of Stockton, Calif., and Nancy France (John) of Sutter, Calif., stepsons Floyd Clark of Austin, Texas, and Manley Clark of DelNorte, Colo., 11 grandchildren, 25 great-and 26 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Mason, her daughter Carolyn Gilbeau, her step-daughter Earline O'Connor and her grandson James Gilbeau. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Feb 2 at the Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, Calif. And a Celebration of Life will follow at the Crossroads Church in Yuba City, Calif. Holycross Funeral Home, Yuba City, Calif., handling arrangements.
