Dorothy Shelton Connelly

Dorothy Shelton Connelly, 92, was born January 28, 1929, and passed away June 4, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Vivian Shelton; her husband 61 years, Eldon Connelly; and five siblings. She is survived by her children Wayne (Judy), Jerry (Debbie), and Patricia Wood (Andy); seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother Rosco Shelton and one sister Bernadean Stillwell. Dorothy belonged to Gillett United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a member of the quilting group in Gillett that made numerous quilts over the last several years. She donated seven gallons of blood to the Red Cross. She loved to catfish with a rod and reel, and has caught fish when no one else could. Visitation is June 6 from 5-7 p.m., at Essex Funeral Home.
