Don Brady

Don Brady, passed away June 16, 2021, in Hot Springs, Ark. He was 86. Born in Cotton Plant, Ark., to J.E. and Myrtle Brady in 1935. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1953. He played shortstop for a semi-pro baseball team before graduating from the University of Arkansas College of Engineering in Fayetteville. Don worked his entire career for Affiliated Engineers and served as both vice president and president of the Arkansas State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors. Don was an avid golfer, loyal Razorback fan, a great storyteller, and a generous supporter of many local charities. In 1953, Don married Beverly Potter, and the family they created together was the great joy of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Brady. He will live on in the memories of his children, Mike Brady (Ila), Kevin Brady (Lisa), Mark Brady, and Holly Friedman (Mark), eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 19, from 5-7, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
