Shena Marlene (McCallister) Blundell, 61, of East End, walked in her Lord's arms peacefully on June 20, 2021, after a long battle with lupus and congenital heart failure. Shena was born on January 30, 1960, to the late Luther L. McCallister and Lois Ann Cloud in Benton, Ark. At the age of 16, Shena met the love of her life, Thomas E. Blundell, Jr.. They were married 2 years later on June 24, 1978, and just this week, will have celebrated 43 wonderful years of marriage together. Shena was an avid lover of dogs, spending summers camping on Arkansas's beautiful lakes, wearing and sharing her love of big hats and coordinating outfits, but she especially treasured her family and friends. Shena was a long-time member of Springlake Church of the Nazarene, where she was baptized. She is preceded in death by her father and her special aunt, Connie Garner. Shena leaves behind to celebrate her life are her husband, Thomas E. Blundell, Jr.; mother, Lois Ann Cloud; step-father, Sam Tygart; daughter Cortney Blundell; sisters Diane Ashworth (Ken) and LaBerta Lynn Ellison (Josh); nieces, Stephanie Parker and Lorin Ellison; "The Golden Girls", Vicki, Macy, and Shirley; her beloved boxer, "Baby Girl Holly", and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held 11-12 p.m, on Thursday, June 24, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., in Benton, Ark. A Celebration Service of Shena's Life, officiated by Pastor Phil Stein, will follow at 12 p.m., in the Smith-Benton Funeral Home Chapel.
