Marie White Hatchett

Marie White Hatchett, age 88, of Plainview, formerly of Rison, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born June 29, 1932, in Pine Bluff to the late R.E. "Sie" Moltz and Evie Heird Moltz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 43 ½ years, Alfred White; her second husband, James Hatchett; one son, Alfred Dewayne White; and two brothers, J.E. Moltz and Elmer Moltz. She enjoyed country music, going to gospel singings, feeding the neighbors her homemade chicken and dumplings, and going fishing. She retired from Illinois Tool Works in 1985 in Pine Bluff, she was an active member of Plainview Baptist Church and also a member of the choir and Gleamers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Pine Bluff. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Hays, and her husband Jack; her daughter-in-law. Debra White; one stepson, Darrell Hatchett, and his wife Betsy; one stepdaughter, Linda Hatchett; four grandchildren, Sandra Hargrove and her husband Matthew, Tony White, Brandy Hickerson and her husband Joe, Kandice Hays; five-great-grandchildren, Leslie Hickerson, Kodi Hickerson, Leah Miller, Waylon Hargrove, and Wyatt Hargrove; and one great-great-grandchild, Paislea Hickerson. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
