Sue Ellen "Suzie" Conley, 95, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2021. Born in Lake Village on October 11, 1925, she was the daughter of David and Vivian Graves. Suzie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, Sheridan C. "Bud" Conley; their son, Robert N. "Bob" Conley; her brother, George Kennedy "Ken" Brock; her sister, Mary L. Richardson; and her much loved nephew, David Kennedy "Ken" Brock. She is survived by daughter, Carol Thomas (Les) of Thurso, Scotland, UK; and son, William L. "Bill" Conley of Asheville, N.C.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her great-nephews, Roby Brock (Stephanie) and Chris Brock (Mitzi); and her other nieces and nephews, Steve Stewart (Debra), Santa Barbara, Calif.; William Bogard (Barbara), Round Hill, Va.; Rebecca Bogard, Friday Harbor, Wash. Suzie graduated Class of 1943 from Little Rock Central High School. The Conleys were married in Little Rock in March, 1946, and lived in Fayetteville while Bud finished his degree in geology. Their first child was born in January 1947. The family moved to Tulsa, where two more children were born, followed by moves over the next 20 years to Louisiana and Texas. In 1983, she and her husband returned to Little Rock to enjoy retirement surrounded by family and old friends. They travelled extensively around the country following their beloved Razorback teams, attending Marine Corps reunions, and visiting family. They also travelled overseas to the UK and to the South Pacific. The family would like to thank all of the many caregivers at Parkway Village, Hospice Home Care, and ElderCare, especially long-time aide Tiffany Philpott. There are not enough words to express appreciation for the love that has been extended from nurse, caregiver and close friend Kerri Peden. Suzie was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. A private graveside service will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Dr., Little Rock, Ark. 72227. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, RuebelFuneralHome.com
