Lana Neumeier, 56, of Fort Smith, Ark., passed on from this life on October 4, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Cecil Herbert and Lena Katherine Dennington. She was a believer in Christ. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and teacher. Her selfless spirit, caring heart, and cheerful personality enriched the lives of all who came in contact with her. She was an educator for 33 years. She was passionate about her work and loved her students dearly. She went above and beyond on a regular basis for her students. She would buy supplies, clothes, and toys, for any student in need. Lana also mentored dozens of new educators during her time at Tilles Elementary. She was an amazing example of love to everyone around her, especially her family. Her ability to outwardly express her love was one of her most profound gifts. She always had a hug and a kiss ready, and expected one of each in return. She had a true servant heart, making sure others needs were met before her own. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wade Dennington. Lana is survived by her parents, Cecil Herbert and Lena Katherine Dennington, her husband, Edward Henry Neumeier, her siblings, Carla (Keith) Kirk, Stephanie (Rick) Coke, Denny (Pam) Dennington, her sons, Eric (Netra), Carl (Allison), and Evan (Rachel) Neumeier, her grandchildren, Neil and Wade Neumeier, and nieces and nephews who dearly loved her. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021, at West Ark Church of Christ, followed by the celebration of Lana's life at 12. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. To leave an online memory, visit: www.edwardsfuneralhome.com.
