Myrtle Annie McCormick McElroy

Myrtle Annie McCormick McElroy was born on May 10, 1939 to Annie and Wylie Tubbs in the back of a pickup truck at the family home in Tomberlin, Ark. She passed from this life on September 17, 2021 in North Little Rock, Ark. She married Eldon McCormick December 21, 1954. They had two sons, Alton McCormick and Kerk McCormick. She married James McElroy, November 30, 2020. Myrtle's work ethic made her beloved by many coworkers through the years. Her workplaces included Timex, Dillards, Maybelline and most recently, Grahuntley Flea Market. Myrtle's love for her family took her to many locations. She lived in Snake Island, Ark.; Bovina, Texas; Lubbock, Texas; North Little Rock, Ark., and finally in Hazen, Ark. Her family was her heart and soul. She loved raising her boys, spoiling her grandchildren and being involved in her great-grandchildren's lives. Myrtle's devotion to her Lord Jesus Christ was her mainstay throughout her life. She was raised in the Assembly of God Church. She would go on to worship the Lord most recently in Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Myrtle is survived by her husband, James McElroy; children, Alton and wife Terri McCormick, Kerk and wife Carrie McCormick, Allen McElroy and his wife Cody and Laura Ann Fricker and her husband Bryan; grandchildren, Chris McCormick, Amy Sellmyer, Lisa McCormick, Amber Scarborough and Tiffany McCormick, Christopher Fricker, Andrew Fricker, Kylee McElroy, Cooper McElroy and Sawyer McElroy; great-grandchildren, Collin, Colton, Tyler, Mackenzie, Logan, Shelby, Kaleb, Brayden, Camden, Hunter, Gabe, Addilynn and Savannah; great-great-grandchildren, Dean and Alice; sisters, Rosie Leker and Frances Crossland; brother, Hershel Tubbs and many very special nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dorothy Chesney and Shirley Frizzell and brother, William Tubbs. Visitation will be Monday, September 20, 2021 from 6-8 at Roller England Funeral Home Chapel and funeral will be 2 p.m., on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Roller England Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mulberry Cemetery.
