Shirley Ann Rhyne

Shirley Ann Rhyne, 81, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in Fayetteville. She was born May 10, 1940, in Comanche, Okla., to Charlie and Emily Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Wesley Rhyne; three brothers, and one sister. Shirley enjoyed sewing, knitting, and arts and crafts. She baked and decorated cakes. Shirley was a retired preschool teacher. She loved her job and the kids. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Leslie Rhyne of Fayetteville and Kendra Kelley of Dixon, Mo., a stepson, Rodger Rhyne of Texas; six grandchildren, Angela Hatfield, Andrew Rhyne, Anthony Rhyne, Sara Kelley, Natalie Kelley, and Mary Harryman; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-4, Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Beard's Chapel. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2022, at Beard's Chapel.
