Milgret Chappell Woods

Milgret Chappell Woods was born on June 28, 1941, in Roba, Ala., to the late Clarence Chappell and Martha Kate Harris. She departed this earthly life and stepped into the eternal light of God's Glory on April 8, 2022, at the age of 80. Milgret graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1961. She graduated from Philander Smith College and received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education in 1965. Her teaching career spanned 31 years with the majority of it spent in the Pulaski County Special School District. She married Willie L. Woods on August 28, 1970. They were married for 36 years until his death on July 24, 2007. They had no biological children. She was a member of Allison Presbyterian Church in Little Rock where she was an active and faithful member until her health failed her. Services will be held at Allison Presbyterian Church at 922 Wright Avenue on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. Visitation prior to services at 11 a.m. Masks are required. rrangements: Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home.
