Flo Eloise Brackman, 95, of Prescott, Ark., passed from this life on Thursday, April 14, 2022. The youngest of 10 children, she was born on April 4, 1927, to Hattie Hogins Reed and Albert McCain Reed in Hector, Ark. Following World War II, Miss Flo attended Arkansas Tech College where she met her future husband. She worked for a time as a secretary-stenographer and a sales associate for Sears but spent most of her years a homemaker. Miss Flo was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prescott where she sang in the chancel choir for over fifty years. She was an active member of Rose Garden Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary, NARFE, and the "Wednesday Bridge Club." A passionate advocate for veterans, Miss Flo worked to ensure the sacrifices of our armed services members will never be forgotten. She had a great zest for life and lived each day to the absolute fullest. She played the piano beautifully and otherwise enjoyed traveling, reading, visiting with family and friends, and cheering on the Prescott Curley Wolves and Arkansas Razorbacks. She also enjoyed a beautiful sunset and was particularly fond of watching the clouds. Her last great project was to detail the story of her childhood during the Great Depression in her booklet entitled "The House On the Top of the Hill." Miss Flo is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Adrian Brackman, and her beloved grandson, Scott Graham. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda Graham (Jimmy) of Prescott and her granddaughter, Traci Reeves (John), of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by nieces Lissa Teal (Gaylon) of Atkins, Ark., and Sue Hubbard of Sebastian, Fla.; and nephews Don Rowlands also of Atkins, Terry Templeton (Carrie) of Memphis, Texas, Rodney Templeton (Laura) of Atlanta, Ga., and Tom Bullock of Shreveport, La. Visitation will be held Monday, April 18, 2022, 6-8 p.m., at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 19, 2022, 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Prescott with Pastor Terri Lynn Bunnell.
