Gloria Jean Holder Machart Allgood, 77, of Cabot, Ark., passed away April 18, 2022, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. She was born January 13, 1945, in Greensville, Pennsylvania, to the late Wade Thomas Holder and John Lester (Leck) Holder. In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Machart; sister, Patty McCabe; brothers, Ted and John Baker Holder and nephew, Jimmy Cary. Gloria was a graduate of McCrory High School where she was homecoming queen, played the clarinet and bassoon and was a majorette. She also attended Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas, where she met her first husband, Paul Machart. They lived in Denton, Texas, Kewanee, Illinois, and Topeka, Kansas, because of Paul's work with Hardee's. They were married for thirty-two years before his death due to cancer. She found happiness again when she married her high school classmate, Wayne Allgood on April 18, 1998. Gloria was a talented decorator and started her own company, Windows, Etc. in Topeka, Kansas, where she specialized in custom draperies, bedding, pillows and wallpaper. She moved her company to Cabot when she married Wayne and helped many people by using her natural ability to decorate. She was a gifted seamstress who made all of the draperies for her own home and also for others. Gloria enjoyed traveling in their RV and seeing many places in the United States. She also enjoyed reading decorator magazines, computers, watching TV and helping others in her service with her organization ESA, where she was a member for over forty years. Many family gatherings were held at Gloria and Wayne's home, which he built and she decorated. She is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, William Wayne Allgood of Cabot; children, Brad Machart of Mills, Wyoming, and Cheryl Machart Zentner Eckhardt of Topeka, Kansas; stepsons, Craig Allgood (Toni) and Steven Allgood (Jodi) of Cabot, Arkansas; grandchildren who affectionately call her Mimi, Tami, Allyssa, Ashley, Austin, Isaac, Noah, Rachel, Regan, Tyler, Noah, Abbey, Erin and Marlie; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Susan Fall of Michigan, Judy Whitehead (Larry) of Sherwood, Arkansas, Betty Wade Cary (Jim) of West Memphis, Arkansas, and Doris Farley of Irving, Texas; brother, Mickey Holder (Billie) of Gregory, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Pat McCabe of Michigan, as well as many extended family member and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Topeka, Kansas. Pallbearers will be Steven Allgood, Austin Eckhardt, Barry Eckhardt, Brad Machart, G.T. Mohney and Perry Boles. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Gloria Allgood be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
