Jack Eugene Jones, Jr., was born August 10, 1964, in Pine Bluff, a son of Jack Eugene Jones, Sr., and Mary Margaret Deviney Wiginton. He was raised in Noble Lake, Ark., and attended Pine Bluff Christian School. Later, he joined the United States Army Reserves, and during his life worked as an engineer for the railroad, a truck driver, and equipment operator. Jack was a member of the former New Life Baptist Church, and enjoyed socializing with his family and friends, or leisurely taking a Sunday drive. He was a most loving and giving person who would give the shirt off his back and would go above and beyond the call of duty to help someone in need. Jack had a curious mind, always wanting to learn things. Jack passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Smith and Sara Jones; his brothers, Benjamin Jones, Jeff Jones, John David Jones, Trey Wiginton, and Ross Wiginton; his sister, Sarah Claire; his bonus mother, Gale Glover Jones; his bonus brother, Bert Smith; grandchildren, Skyler Smith and Chloe Smith; and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A visitation and time of remembrance will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors with a reception following at 7 p.m., at 520 Bohannon Road, Pine Bluff. Private burial will be in Ain Cemetery, Grapevine, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Jack's memory be made to the ALS Association Arkansas Chapter, 1200 West Walnut, Suite 2309, Rogers, Ark., 72756, or to a charity of your choice. The family also wishes to offer their sincere thanks to the caregivers who assisted Jack during his last several months.
