Joan Uth

Joan Beard Uth, 92, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away peacefully on April 20, 2022--her husband's birthday. She was born in Palestine, Ark., on September 19, 1929, to Lela and Melvin Beard. She served most of her career as an administrative assistant, including executive assistant to the President of Ouachita Baptist University. She was a devoted member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Joan was a faithful pastor's wife for over 50 years. She was also an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her children, Lynda Jack and husband Ron of Maumelle, Ark., Tony Uth and wife Teresa of Tulsa, Okla., David Uth and wife Rachel of Orlando, Fla.; and she was "Nonnie" to her seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Joan is also survived by other extended family and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Anton "Buddy" Conrad Uth, Sr.; her parents; and her brother, Tom Beard. Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, followed by a celebration of her life at 4 p.m., at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.
