Maples Lee Hargrove

Maples Lee Hargrove, 87, of Benton, passed away on April 19, 2022. He was born on September 16, 1934, in Veto, Alabama, to the late James Maple Hargrove and Mamie Collins Hargrove. Lee was a Deacon at the Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Alcoa. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Paul Hargrove and sister, Mary Putman. He is survived by his wife, Belva Verlene Hargrove, sons, Harvey (Carol) Hargrove, James Clinton Hargrove and Donnie Lee Hargrove, sisters, Joyce Lewis, Annie Hargrove, and Ora Brown; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m., on Saturday, with Bro. Marcus Blakley officiating at Bauxite Cemetery in Bauxite. Visitation will be at Ashbys, Friday, 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
