Darrell Dean Kelly

Darrell Dean Kelly, 76-year-old resident of both Bella Vista, Ark., and Mission, Texas, died April 18, 2022, at South Texas McAllen Hospital in McAllen, Texas. He was born on June 2, 1945, to Claude Kelly and Beulah Kelly in Beaver, Okla. Darrell graduated in 1964 at Gentry High School in Gentry, Ark. For the last 18 years, he was in the company of his forever companion, Karen "Kay" Pippin. Darrell was an avid reader and competitive card player. His more recent friends knew him for his love of dancing and karaoke. He is preceded by his parents and one sister, Claudia Jean. He is survived by his forever companion, Karen "Kay" Pippin, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Mission, Texas; one son, Kevin Kelly of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Kelsie Cygan and Tom of Leawood, Kansas; one bonus son, Perry Hatfield of Bella Vista, Ark.; one bonus daughter, Didi Sorensen and fiance, Stephen Bohanan, of Cassville, Mo.; four grandchildren; 10 bonus grandchildren; two bonus great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Kelly and wife, Dean, of Gentry, Ark., and Jerry Kelly and wife, Etta, of Grove, Okla. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Wasson Funeral Home.
