Michael Miller Mohundro

Michael Miller Mohundro, passed away on July 15, 2022. He was 61. A lifetime resident of Little Rock, Mike attended John L. McClellan High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked in a variety of jobs over the years, including building maintenance and lawn care. He was a great lover of the outdoors and the wonders of nature and working in the sun suited him just fine. A lifetime member of the Church of Christ, Mike believed profoundly and deeply in the redemptive love and grace that is found only through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A self-trained artist, Mike found great joy and pleasure in sketching and painting and had a particular affinity for the works of Vincent van Gogh. He was also a devoted aficionado of classic TV and cinema, especially the Golden Age of Hollywood and the movies of the 1930s and ‘40s. He loved the music of the 1950s and ‘60s. He adored animals, particularly dogs and cats, and could not tolerate the idea of any senseless harm or cruelty coming to them. He had a kind and gentle soul and somehow connected with these most defenseless of God's creations. Mike is preceded in death by his loving and devoted parents, Tom and Bonnie Mohundro, and his older brother, Buck. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Margaret Mohundro, of Fort Myers, Florida. No formal funeral arrangements have been made at this time. Mike's remains will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Tiplersville, Mississippi, in a small private ceremony. Persons wishing to honor Mike's memory are asked to consider making a donation in his name to either the Arkansas chapter of the ASPCA or the Arkansas Arts Center. This kindness in his memory would have pleased him greatly.
