Willard "WC" Clarence Looper, Jr.

Willard "WC" Clarence Looper, Jr., 80, of Sherwood, Ark., passed away August 18, 2022. He was born November 30, 1941 in North Little Rock, Ark., to the late Willard Clarence Looper, Sr. and Coga Johnson Looper. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carolyn Looper Sorrells and Connie Looper Fraley. WC is survived by his wife of 59 years, Angie Fraijo Looper; children, WC (Dub) Looper, III, LaWonda Joy Robinson (Bobby), Faith Dollar (Jay), Lisa Ray; grandchildren, Trey Holmes (Dake), Amanda Dollar, Whitney Ward, Tyler Culpepper, Kyle Dollar (Sara), Will Looper, Amber Ray, Alex Ray (Daun); great-grandchildren, Joe Vance, Aubrey Beggs, Waylon Beggs, Garrett Dollar, Carmen Ray, and Audrey Goff. He is also survived by his siblings, Charlotte Gardner, Clinton Looper (Becky), Cheryl McCarthy; and close family friends, Dale Davis, Roy Martin, and James Gill; along with many nieces and nephews. At the age of 18, WC joined the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served four years. He was the owner of WC Looper Roofing for over 50 years. He met the love of his life, Angie, while serving in the Marines. They built a wonderful life together. His top priorities in life were God, family, friends, helping those in need and never giving up on people. He treated everyone with love and kindness. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2022, at First Pentecostal Church, 1401 Calvary Road, North Little Rock. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the church with burial following at 1 p.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
