Calvin Glen Goodwin, 81, of Decatur, Ark., died August 25, 2022, at his home. He was born June 22, 1941, in Welch, Okla., to Lee Goodwin and Linnie (Riley) Goodwin. He is preceded in death by both parents; brother, Bill; and sisters, Jean and Bertie. Glen is survived by his wife, Jeannie, of the home; sons: Ken and wife Nancy Goodwin, of Decatur, Ark.; Darren Goodwin, of Decatur; granddaughters: Tawny and husband Ryan Sumrall, of Decatur; Krystle and husband Juan Gonzalez, of Bentonville, Ark.; Skyler Goodwin, of Springdale, Ark.; Chelsea and Quintin Eden, of Gravette, Ark.; nine great-grandchildren; brother, W.A. Goodwin, of Joplin, Mo. Glen was a longtime member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry, Ark., where he was also a Sunday school teacher. While born and raised in Welch, Okla., Glen and his wife, Jeannie, farmed in Decatur, Ark., for the past 56 years. They recently celebrated their 61-year anniversary in July, surrounded by family. Glen enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking them fishing, on four-wheeler rides, and their first horseback rides.
