Susanne H Thurman

Susanne H. Thurman of Fayetteville, Ark., was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 14, 1941. Her parents were Harwin Hunsley and Mary Stockslager. Susanne passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the age of 81. Susanne attended the Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was an avid Razorbacks fan. She loved playing cards with her grandchildren. Susanne worked for Leslie-Carr Accounting, Berryville Public Schools, and Thurman and Flanagin Attorneys at Law. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold "Monty" Thurman, her father Harwin Hunsley, and her mother Mary Stockslager. Susanne is survived by children: daughter Julia Williams and her husband Dwight of Fayetteville, Ark., daughter Kristine Crownover and her husband Brian of Fayetteville, Ark., and son Greg Thurman and his wife Ashley of Berryville, Ark.; brother Tom Stockslager of Plano, Texas; grandchildren: Elizabeth Williams, Allison Williams, Megan Crownover, James Daniel Crownover, Abby Thurman, Mia Thurman, and Paige Thurman; in-laws: Roy and Harriet Turner of Little Rock, Ark., Bobby D. and Carla Thurman of Eureka Springs, Ark., Sheila Thurman of Rogers, Ark., Karen Stockslager of Plano, Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Charles N. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Eureka Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Carroll Madison Library Foundation, 104 Spring Street, Berryville, Ark., 72616.
