Cecil Leon Davis II

CECIL LEON DAVIS, II, 79, of Little Rock, formerly known as Earl James "Jim" McGuire Jr., died Nov. 18, 2022, in Little Rock following a long illness. He was born July 10, 1943, in Illinois. He was a hair stylist in Little Rock and a partner of McGuire-Smith Salon in The Heights in the 1970s and '80s. He later owned and operated the Salmani salon for many years. He was an active member of the Bahá'í Faith and served on the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Little Rock, the elected administrative council of the local Bahá'í community. He served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Guam. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Davis is survived by many friends and members of the central-Arkansas Bahá'í community. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., at The Heritage Room in Burns Park in North Little Rock.
