Earl Kolp (K.) Spence, passed peacefully at his home from this earthly life to his eternal life to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday Dec. 9, 2022. He was born on Oct. 29, 1926, the third of eight children to Earl Alton Spence and Cynthia (Guyot) Spence of the Sylvania community in Lonoke County, Arkansas. He was a member of Country Chapel Church in Sylvania. He retired from driving a milk truck for AMPI after 32 plus years and continued to work for the next 34 years raising cattle. He grew up learning to work hard helping raise produce on the family farm in Sylvania. He is survived by his wife Alice (Scruggs, Baty) Spence of 48 years, (2) brothers, James Lon Spence (Marilyn) of Sylvania and Jerry Spence (Pearl) of Old Austin; (3) daughters, Leane Jones (Carlos) of the Cocklebur community, Darla Haney (J.R.) of Lonoke, Kim Dyson (Tim) of Ward, and David Spence of Sylvania; (3) step-children , Morrisa (Baty) Pruett of Greenbrier, Mike Baty (Donna) of Sylvania and Sandy (Baty) Rogers (Billy) of Beebe; 10 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren ; 10 Great grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Dee (Frantz) Spence, the mother of his daughters, 1 daughter, Beverly Davis; 2 brothers, Milburn Spence and Guy Spence and 3 sisters Willie Ann Spence, Dorothy Cates and Joyce White. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 14, 2022 followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Country Chapel in Sylvania with burial in Sylvania Cemetery.
