Robert "Bud" Cason

Robert "Bud" Cason was born January 3, 1937, in Selma, Ark., to Velma Curtis (V.C.) Cason and Artye Mae Berry Cason. He was a 1955 graduate of Pine Bluff High School and joined the Arkansas National Guard at the age of 17, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1997. During the 1980's, he served as an officer in the Pine Bluff special police force. Bud loved playing the guitar and was a member of several bands in the Pine Bluff area over the years. Bud passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Frances Lillian Cason and Virginia Mae Harter. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Lynn Lowry and husband, Dicky; granddaughter, Katie Lowry; great-grandson, Justin Lowry; and great-granddaughter, Ashlee Lowry. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at 2 p.m., in Flat Creek Cemetery in Fountain Hill, Ark.
