Dorothy Mae Alice Davis 86 of Springdale, Ark., passed away on December 20th in Springdale. She was born March 13, 1936 in Kingston, Ark., to Charlie and Jewell (Stills) Seals. She retired from Walmart Store 54 after almost 30 years of service. She was an active member of Fellowship Bible Church Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Davis; her parents; and four brothers, Charles Seals, Fred Seals, Art Seals, and Jim Seals. She is survived by her son, Scott Davis and his wife Shelly of Fayetteville, Ark.; her daughter, Robin Wages and husband Dan of Springdale, Ark.; one brother, Mack Seals of West Fork, Ark.; two grandchildren, Drake Davis and wife Hong of Fayetteville, Ark., Hayley Pruitt and husband Andy of Fayetteville, Ark.; and two great grandchildren, Davis and Reese. Also survived by two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Seals of Springdale, Ark., and Beverly Seals of Houston, Mo.; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, needlework and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was always involved in her church, teaching Sunday School, leading Bible studies for women in her home, attending community group meetings up until her death. Dorothy was skilled in administration, hospitality, and leadership. She was excellent anytime there was a crisis, always calmly stepping up to take care of everyone and everything. She had a passion for people, always checking on her friends and family. Dorothy leaves a legacy of faith, teaching her family the importance of being involved in faith-based activities. She leaves a legacy of compassion, always taking care of her family and her friends and a legacy of hospitality. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28th, from 10-11 a.m., with a service beginning at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Drakes Creek cemetery in the Drakes Creek Community . Pallbearers will be Stephen Faulkner, Jason Fitzgerald, John Fitzgerald, Danny Harmon, Justin Pinkley, and Rich Seals. Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Seals. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Community Center Hunger Heroes or Fellowship Bible Church Fayetteville in her memory.
