Francis A. Stipsky

FRANCIS A. STIPSKY, age 93, of Sherwood, passed away February 10, 2022. He was born July 21, 1928, near Pine Bluff, to Jim and Elizabeth Stipsky. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Ian Smith, infant brother George Stipsky, two brothers, George Lewis Stipsky and Jimmy Stipsky, and two sisters, Lillian Leath and Rose Marie O'Shea. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sheryl Stipsky; daughters, Lisa Carter of Benton, and Debra Hanlon of Hot Springs and Shannon Verch of North Little Rock; brother Raymond (Cindy) Stipsky of Little Rock; sister Ann (Annie) Heflin of Arcadia, Fla.; five grandchildren, Megan Smith, Josh Carter, Chance Carter, Niki Norris, and Matthew Verch; and by many loving great-grandchildren. Mr. Stipsky was raised in Slovak, Ark. He retired from the Army after 20 years of service and May Supply after 25 years. Mr. Stipsky was a selfless caring man who loved his family; always concerned for their well-being. An avid gardener, whose great-grandchildren were the light of his life. He is loved and will be missed. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock.
