FRANK PRESTON BUCHNER, 56, of Little Rock, died peacefully at his home on January 27, 2022. He was born in Little Rock on September 4, 1965 to Emily Hall of Little Rock, and Clark A. Buchner III, of Memphis. He is survived by his parents, wife, Amy Bashaw Buchner of Tulsa, Okla.; and two daughters, who were the apples of his eye, Mary Elizabeth of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ruth Eileen of Tulsa; and his brother, C. Andrew Buchner (Melissa) of Memphis. Other survivors include his aunt, Marilyn Hall; cousins, Frank Hall (Sherry), David Hall, Elizabeth (Iboo) Deal Miller, and Debbie Deal Wyman, all of Little Rock. He was also survived in death by his beloved dogs, Bella, his black lab; Mamie and Walter, his preferred companions above all else. Preston was a 1984 graduate of Catholic High School for Boys. He attended Westminister College, where he was a member of the Delta Tau Chapter of Sigma Chi fraternity. He received his juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Little Rock and practiced law in Little Rock for several years. Preston was his own person – in one word, he was creative. An innovative thinker, he was instrumental in the early days of the brew pub at Vino's many years before "craft" beer was popular. Fortunately, or unfortunately, he also relished sharing his moonshine with his family and friends! He loved cooking and baking – he had a knack for perfectly smoking meats of all varieties, baking the most amazing bite-sized melt in your mouth biscuits and his famous brownie bottom pecan cheesecake that would put Julia Childs to shame! He shared his brother's love for archeology and artifacts, and he had a deep love and appreciation for nature and the great outdoors and proudly received the coveted and highly respected honor of Eagle Scout. He especially loved duck and deer hunting and spending time at the Big Piney with his lifelong friend, John Fletcher. These times were precious gifts in his life. Preston overcame many serious health issues from childhood through adulthood, but these struggles made him stronger and gave him a different and unique perspective on life. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions to be made to: Paws in Prison Foundation, 1302 Pike Avenue, Suite C, North Little Rock, Ark., 72114, Bishop Kelley High School, 3905 S. Hudson Ave, Tulsa, Okla., 74135, or Muddy Paws Helping People, 2234 E 56th Place, Tulsa, Okla., 74105. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home, with a graveside service the following day, Wednesday February 16, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery.
