James D. Elrod

JAMES D. "JIM" ELROD made it to Heaven on February 4, 2022; two hours shy of his 73rd birthday, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Jim was born in Little Rock on February 5, 1949, to James L. and Ozella Elrod. He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Karen; son, Kevin (Melanie), son Cody (Tiffany); granddaughter, Megan; newborn grandson, Teddy; his mother, Ozella; and sister, Sandra. In 1984, he met and married Karen. In 1991, they opened Cody's Café in Jacksonville and operated it for 20 years. They later opened three other restaurants before retiring. Jim was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of First Baptist of Sherwood. Service will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, North Little Rock, Ark.
