Ramona Ann Files, age 83, went to meet Jesus Friday, February 11, 2022. She peacefully started her journey from her home in Vilonia, with her family by her side. She was born August 18, 1938, in Gurdon Ark., the daughter of Virgil and Lorena Toland Reed. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Jesse Kenneth Files; her sister, Barbara Ruth Brummett; brother, Charles Reed; and great-granddaughter, Alexia Hamilton. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Kingsland Ark. Ramona loved her family and was, first and foremost, a devoted wife and loving mother. She also loved painting, doing arts and crafts, fishing and camping with her family. In her later years, she got great pleasure in working with her daughter's Arts and Craft business, where she painted and designed many projects. And of course, she always got great pleasure in spending time with all of her grand and great-grandchildren. Ramona is survived by one daughter, Sue White and husband Greg of Vilonia; one son, Jesse Michael Files and wife Kathy of Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Jim Buddy Brummett and wife Kerry; sister-in-law, Betty Stover and husband Bobbie; and five grandchildren: Chris Files of Jacksonville, Daniel Files missionary in Thailand, Nathaniel White of Vilonia, Britni White of Vilonia, Joshua White of Vilonia; twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her greatly. Visitation will be Tuesday, 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, and the funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with her son, Dr. Jesse Michael Files, officiating. Pallbearers will be: Chris Files, Joe Files, Joshua White, Noah Licon, Rob Brummett, and Johnnie Files. Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery in Kingsland.
